John Brennan is appointed Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Kingston, in accordance with the norms of canon 475 §1 of the Code of Canon Law. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Father Brennan for his generosity in accepting this important responsibility within the Archdiocese. In the short time that I have known Father Brennan, I have come to see that his solid character, good judgement, and calm and quiet demeaner will be a welcoming presence in the Chancery Office. The Archives Project Team is pleased to announce the launch of the website for the Archives at Portsmouth Village http://www.archivesportsmouth.com/ Following the motto of "One Corner of History. One Future Vision. Two Enterprises" the website was developed jointly by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kingston and Zahlco Construction in order to provide information about both the residential and the archival projects underway at the Church of the Good Thief and the surrounding property. By clicking on the St. Dismas Archives link you will be able to find information about the plan to transform the iconic church into a state-of-the art archival facility. Information about the projects will be posted in the News section so please check back regularly for updates on the construction and development of the site.
